Catania Airport to Milazzo

Most visitors reach Milazzo from Catania Airport. The simplest way is the direct Giuntabus coach to Milazzo port, which is also where the boats to the Aeolian Islands leave. The operator gives the journey as 2 hours and the fare as €13 one way or €26 return, with luggage included. A train is the alternative, but it needs a connection, and the airport station and the airport terminal are two different stops.

Palermo is the other airport on Sicily, and the rail and bus options differ. The airports guide compares both airports. This page covers only the last part of the trip to Milazzo.

Spring and June have their own tables, so do not mix them with the summer one. The operator also publishes a table for 1 January to 31 December 2026 with three departures a day in each direction. Those overlap with the seasonal timetable, so they are not extra buses. From Catania they leave at 11:00, 15:30 and 19:00, from Milazzo at 08:30, 12:40 and 15:45.

If you must catch an island boat after landing, remember that the coach takes about 2 hours and that the sailings are listed in the ferry guide. Leave a margin, because no ferry connection is guaranteed. A night in Milazzo before a morning boat is the safe option; see where to stay.
